Manchester United’s pursuit of Real Madrid youngster Marvelous Garzón, usually simply referred to as Marvel, continues being reported by the Spanish media.

It was Bernabeu Digital who broke the story last week, claiming the Red Devils have been watching the defender’s development with the La Liga side’s academy.

Called ‘one of the great promises of Spanish football’, Marvel reportedly impressed local scouts and now has Manchester United considering the option of signing him.

Now a new story shows up, this time from Fichajes. It’s claimed that the Old Trafford side now have ‘an evident objective’ at Real Castilla, and that’s the youngster.

According to the report, Manchester United are looking to continue to strengthen their defence, planning the departure of a couple of players, and the 18-year-old is now a target to be added to the squad.

However, Marvel isn’t expected to leave Real Madrid so easily. Fichajes points out that the player is close to being promoted to the first team squad, and that makes it a ‘very complicated operation’ for those who are interested, as the Galacticos won’t let him go cheaply.

The defender has a contract with the Spanish giants until 2025, so there’s no pressure in that regard.
