Jesé Rodriguez may not have been having his dream season at Stoke City since signing on loan from Paris Saint Germain. But it doesn’t mean he’s ready to give up.

As reported by Spanish newspaper Marca today, the player is wanted by his home town club Las Palmas, who would offer him a much more comfortable situation due to the hard time the player has been having in England.

With his son having health problems, the attacker has missed the past couple of months having to stay with his family in Las Palmas and in Madrid.

But despite the offer to go back to the country, Marca reports Jesé is not keen on leaving the Premier League side before the end of the season. He’s thankful for the interest from Las Palmas, but turned the offer down.

Jesé reportedly wants to prove himself at Stoke City, despite all the difficulties, which Marca lists as “the hardest way, to stay in the cold English Midlands, in a country where he does not speak the language and a more demanding league.”

With Stoke City also fighting against relegation this season, there’s no doubt Jesé is trying to show his strength by choosing the hardest possible way, personally and professionally.

Gotta give him that.

Or maybe he just doesn’t fancy a pay-cut.
