‘In the case of Spurs’ – Tottenham ‘could offer’ impressively big fee for January transfer

Since arriving at Barcelona from Bordeaux in the summer, Malcom has been restricted to 25 minutes in the La Liga, while has failed to feature in the Champions League.

Today’s edition of Catalan newspaper Sport talks about Tottenham Hotspur being one of the clubs in the Premier League interested in securing the Brazilian’s services.

‘In the case of Spurs’, the report mentions there is even a suggestion that the north London club ‘could offer €50m’ to sign the 21-year-old.

For Mauricio Pochettino’s side to make an approach for the Spanish champions’ player, everything depends on his situation from now until the end of this calendar year.

Ernesto Valverde’s side face Inter Milan and Real Madrid in the European and the league fixture respectively, and it should be seen whether the former Athletic Club Bilbao manager will include him in the starting lineup, especially after Lionel Messi’s latest injury setback. 

Earlier this month, Mundo Deportivo reported that Malcom could ask to leave the club in January, if he fails to get regular minutes before the end of October and should there be no improvement in terms of playing time, it will come as a boost for his potential suitors.
