According to a claim in the Greek media, Southampton and Burnley are options for Olympiacos captain Omar Elabdellaoui, who will become a free agent at the end of the season.

The former Manchester City academy player has been in talks with the Greek club over a contract extension but there’s been no breakthrough.

Sdna report Omar has offers from other clubs, and that Southampton and Burnley are in the mix to sign him.

The 28 year old has been performing well for the Greek side this season, impressing with his displays against Premier League sides in the Champions League and Europa League.

He can now speak to overseas clubs with regards to a pre-contract agreement, and Sdna report Southampton and Burnley could take advantage of the situation.

Both teams look certain to stay in the Premier League this season and will be looking to strengthen their squad in the next transfer window.

Elabdellaoui has made 38 appearances for Olympiacos this season.
