Liverpool are looking at Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica, according to WESER-KURIER.
The winger’s entourage believes a move to Anfield might be too big of a step for the Kosovo international, which is why they may be looking for an intermediate one.
Apart from the Reds, Southampton are also interested in the 23-year-old and they have the finances needed to complete the operation.
The player has a release clause of €38m and there’s a possibility he could leave the Bundesliga side in the summer. It’s claimed the Saints have offered themselves for Rashica and have already ‘written down’ their interest in him.
Jürgen Klopp and his Southampton counterpart Ralph Hasenhüttl are known for playing fast football, which suits the Werder star. With the Liverpool move viewed as too early for Rashica, the Saints are viewed as an ‘interim solution’.
It’s not just the Champions League winners and Southampton who are after the attacker as WESER-KURIER adds RB Leipzig are also interested in signing Rashica.
So far, the report doesn’t specify as to which club are leading the race for the player, who has seven goals and four assists in the league this season.
