It’s been a good year for Emmanuel Dennis at Club Brugge, as the forward, who scored a brace against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages, has attracted a lot of attention from the Premier League.

It feels like half of England’s top-tier, including Manchester United, have all decided to take a look at the Nigeria international at some point over the course of the 2019-20 campaign, and it’s now Southampton’s turn to come forward.

According to Manu Lonjon, a journalist for Eurosport in France, Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side are one of five clubs to be after the 22-year-old, who had scored nine goals in 33 appearances prior to football being suspended around the continent.

Southampton will face strong competition too, with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli all joining the Saints in ‘getting in touch’ with the Belgian club for their striker to find out what it would cost them to sign him.

In fact, the Premier League side might want to go up a gear if they don’t want to be left behind, as Lonjon also points out Lucien Favre’s side are said to have ‘already started talks’ regarding a transfer.

Certainly one to keep an eye on.
