Southampton are currently on the hunt for their new manager, after the departure of Ronald Koeman, but that hasn’t stopped them from making offers for players.
According to RMC Sport in France, Southampton have submitted an offer of around €10m for Bordeaux youngster Adam Ounas.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Ligue 1 club, and Southampton are not the only ones interested in him.
It is reported Stoke City, Manchester United, Napoli, Leipzig and an unnamed Premier League club have also made offers of around €10m for the French midfielder.
Southampton and Stoke City will have some convincing to do, if they were to beat competition from Napoli and Manchester United for the youngster.
They could also face competition from Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who were also linked to the player earlier, and it remains to be seen if they’re the ‘unnamed team’.
Ounas has still three years left on his contract at Bordeaux, and has 6 goals and 3 assists to his name this season.
