Southampton star Sadio Mane is reportedly a transfer target for a few clubs, with Manchester United linked in the past to the Senegalese forward and Liverpool most recently.
Reports in the English media also suggests Ronald Koeman’s departure could see Mane following him, but it seems he is also attracting interest from clubs in Serie A.
According to Rai TV(via TMW), Fiorentina could be interested in signing Mane.
Fiorentina’s new director, Pantaleo Corvino, is said to be keen on signing the Southampton star, who has another couple of years left on his contract.
Corvino sees Mane as a ‘forbidden dream’ transfer, his aim for the window, but a very difficult one.
Despite good relations between Fiorentina and Southampton any deal is likely to be complicated, as Liverpool are ready to offer €40m for Mane.
The former Bundesliga star has 15 goals and 9 assists to his name, and reports have suggested Southampton are also trying to tie him down to a new deal.
It’s very unlikely Mane would want to quit Southampton to sign for Fiorentina, as he’d rather play in the Premier League.
It’s also unlikely Fiorentina would be able to meet Southamton’s asking price, and maybe Corvino should switch to other targets.
