Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz didn’t have too much of an impact at Juventus last season.
He could still return to the Serie A this season as Lazio are interested in a move for the midfielder.
Il Messaggero have reported – as relayed by TMW, that Southampton already have ‘given the green light’ for Alcaraz’s summer exit and it would be a loan departure.
Lazio are interested and so are Flamengo. The Roman club’s move depends on the exit of midfielder Danilo Cataldi, who has been offered to both Torino and Como.
There is more, as journalist Bruno Lemos has stated that Lazio have already ‘formalised’ a move for the Southampton midfielder, who has some Premier League experience under his belt.
He confirms that Alcaraz will likely leave the Saints and his agent will have a key meeting with Southampton ‘next Friday’, which we assume means this Friday because leaving things until deadline day would be a little extreme.
An exit does seem on the cards because multiple sources confirm it, but it remains to be seen if Torino or Como make an offer for Cataldi to help Lazio move for Alcaraz.
