Despite multiple claims that Wesley Hoedt might have to wait for either Wallace or Bastos to be sold before he could make his move to Lazio official, the player has travelled to Italy.
This according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who took to his website to post a picture of the Dutchman arriving at Fiumicino airport in Rome ahead of his loan deal with Simone Inzaghi’s side.
The centre-back, who will move to Lazio on a temporary deal with a view to buy, is expected to undergo his medicals on Saturday morning and will then sign the contract that will tie him to his former club for the year.
There have been a few different claims regarding the amount he could be bought for, but Di Marzio has it as €5m.
Furthermore, Hoedt had a few words to say to the journalists waiting for him, saying: “I’m happy to find Inzaghi again and the club”.
He, however, will not be available for the game this weekend, forced to watch his new/old teammates play Cagliari from afar.
