According to a claim in the Turkish media, Southampton and Fulham are looking to move in on Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.
The former Queens Park Rangers player has been linked with a return to England and, along with Southampton and Fulham, he’s also been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United in recent weeks.
Sporx today report on the latest developments around Osayi-Samuel and they say Southampton and Fulham are preparing moves for the right back and are ready to make offers.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce are looking for offers in the region of €20m and aren’t prepared to enter into negotiations if any clubs come in with bids lower than this. We don’t quite believe them on that and less would probably do the trick.
There were recent reports Jose Mourinho wanted to keep the 26 year old, and that extension talks had started. However, interest from England has resurfaced and the Yellow Canaries could be tempted to sell this summer.
Osayi-Samuel made 29 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2025.
