Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few weeks. Indeed, it would be no exaggeration to say he’s probably been linked to a third of the league’s clubs.
West Brom, Everton, Stoke City, Southampton and Wolfsburg are among those reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old, and the player is expected to leave in January.
It’s been reported West Brom are ready to offer €20m for the services of the 25-year-old. However, but Rai Sport (via Tutto Napoli) claim Southampton remain the favourites to sign Gabbiadini.
Rai Sport say Southampton made an offer of €18m plus €2m in bonuses in the past ‘few hours’. However, the Italian media outlet believe West Brom must sell players first to raise funds.
West Brom, Stoke City, Watford and Leicester’s interest has been mentioned again, whilst Wolfsburg and Schalke are also in the frame. Tony Pulis has said the West Brom reports are wide of the mark, but the Italian media seem to be ignoring him.
Rai Sport, however, reckon a move to England is very likely, but it remains to be seen if it will be Southampton.
There have been mixed reports on Gabbiadini, as the player has been linked to so many Premier League clubs, and more clarity on his future is expected in the coming days.
