Barcelona are reportedly keeping an eye on Southampton fullback Cedric Soares. The Catalan club’s officials have been scouting the player recently, as he prepares to play the Euros for Portugal.
Mundo Deportivo have an article today mentioning several players from the Portuguese national team who have been scouted by Barcelona.
Robert Fernandez and Urbano Ortega were said to have been watching Portugal’s 7-0 win over Estonia last Wednesday as they identified a few targets for the club.
The newspaper claims that Barcelona had the chance to sign Cedric Soares last summer, but they ended up buying Aleix Vidal instead.
Now, the Southampton ace is on the list of possible replacements for Daniel Alves, but not on top of it. Hector Bellerin, João Cancelo, Mariano and Juan Cuadrado are the priorities for the position.
Besides Cedric, Barcelona have reportedly also scouted Manchester United target André Gomes and the Lorient’s Guerreiro, who’s very close to signing for Borussia Dortmund.
