Spanish newspaper Marca report in their Friday edition that James Rodriguez is facing crucial hours in his Real Madrid career.
There have been repeated reports about the player having a poor attitude and he seems to be dropping further down the pecking order every few months or so.
It’s no longer a question of whether Rodriguez is a guaranteed starter for Zinedine Zidane, because he quite clearly isn’t. The issue now is just how many minutes the Colombian will be given.
Real Madrid play Celta Vigo on Saturday, and Rodriguez isn’t expected to start. AS believe that the situation could force him to ask for a transfer. The player may not get on the pitch at all, meaning he could have played his last game for Real Madrid already.
Chelsea are of course linked, once again, with AS saying there have been claims in England of a €70m offer. Those claims were started by the Catalan media stirring the pot, and whilst a lot of it may be based upon assumption, Chelsea probably have a decent chance of signing Rodriguez should they wish to.
