Strange claims from South America today say that Real Madrid have found an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of midfielder Fabinho.
On Twitter, Colombian journalist José Luís Vergara says the Brazilian is joining the Galacticos ‘before the end of the transfer market’, signing a five-year contract with the club.
He says the move will be made official once Liverpool find a replacement for the midfielder. Real Madrid would be paying €65m plus €10m in bonuses, and Fabinho would make €7.5m per year at the La Liga side.
Fabinho already belonged to Real Madrid many years ago. That’s one of the moves made by his agent Jorge Mendes, who later put him at Rio Ave and Monaco, before the transfer to Liverpool.
With all due respect to the Colombian press, which we read everyday, we don’t really see a reason why they would break the news about a Brazilian player, who has a Portuguese agent, leaving an English club to join a Spanish side.
So let’s see if something else comes out today.
