Lucas Moura to Manchester United refuses to die.
Earlier on Tuesday we covered claims from Gazzetta dello Sport that Lucas Moura had given his ‘Yes’ to a move to Old Trafford in January.
That Italian claim very much looked like a mash-up of reports from France over the past few days so on its own wasn’t worthy of the excitement generated.
The claims had said PSG were looking for €20-25m which looked a reasonable gamble for Jose Mourinho in January if he’s looking for a right winger, but Le Parisien published an article on Tuesday contradicting that, saying Lucas will cost €40m.
Now Brazil’s Globo Esporte have got involved, and they say sources around Sao Paulo, the Brazilian’s former club, believe Lucas would be on his way to Manchester United for €25m.
The interest from sources ‘behind the scenes’ at Sao Paulo is said to be because the Brazilian club retain an interest, in case Lucas decides to return home.
In May of this year, Sport Witness was informed by more than one Brazilian source that Manchester United were considering signing Lucas in the following summer transfer window.
There’s clearly some information going around in Brazil about a potential Manchester United move, and has been for some time.
