On Monday, Italy’s Tuttosport reported Everton, Stoke City and West Ham are all interested in Stefano Sturaro from Juventus. The answer to these clubs would’ve been the same: €20m or no deal.

The outlet brings an update today, this time giving details why the player is so important for Massimiliano Allegri, at least for now. Or perhaps providing some justification for asking Everton, Stoke and west ham for so much.

Juventus are currently struggling to sign a fullback. Both Leonardo Spinazzola from Atalanta and Ricardo Pereira from Porto have been hard to get, and with only ten days before the end of the transfer window, the club may end up with empty hands.

That’s why Sturaro becomes vital for the manager, as besides playing in central midfield, he can also be used in several other positions.

Tuttosport claims that for now, only a very high offer would be accepted, despite the situation being different previously. That could obviously change with the arrival of other players, of course, but then the English clubs would have to wait and see.

As we pointed out previously, Everton, Stoke and West ham have joined a long line of Premier League clubs linked to Sturaro, and it often feels to be an attempt to hype the player.
