Over the course of his time at Manchester United, Éric Bailly has struggled with injuries, and that has continued during his loan spell at Marseille.

Arriving on loan with a view of staying there permanently if the club qualified for the Champions League and he played 50% of the games there, he has yet to achieve the latter, while the club are on course to doing the former.

Still, the Manchester United loanee has been important when fit, but that has been a problem Igor Tudor, his manager, has had to deal with, and the hope is the latest rehab work the Ivory Coast international has put in will allow him more continuity on the field.

In fact, the player now believes his injury issues are behind him, as he looks to the upcoming matchup against Paris Saint-Germain to start shining again after facing a lengthy suspension.

Speaking to La Marseillaise, the Manchester United man said: “I had a physical problem against PSG. I tried to play the match against Tottenham, but it was too soon and the injury came back. Now, it’s sorted. I did important work with the medical staff.

“When you see this team, these supporters and your loved ones asking you to come back, there is frustration, but I have already experienced complicated situations. I hope to be available to the manager until the end of the season.”
