Three days ago, Bild reported Everton have already registered their interest in Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta and the Eagles are ready to let him go out on a loan deal in the summer.

The 25-year-old initially joined Crystal Palace on loan in 2021 and his stay there was made permanent in January 2022. He managed less than 1000 minutes from 32 games during the 2022/23 season, scoring two goals in the process.

That hasn’t stopped Everton from showing interest in him but they are ‘not alone’ in the race to sign the forward. That’s at least what So Foot are reporting and they add the Toffees have ‘something to worry about’.

It’s claimed Torino, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven have recently asked about the possibility of signing the Frenchman in the upcoming window. The outlet makes it clear this is their own information.

Mateta, for his part, is ‘looking to relaunch himself’ far from Crystal Palace next season and will be loaned out in the upcoming window with a purchase option.

It remains to be seen whether the Crystal Palace player will end up at Everton or another club.
