Arsenal could be closing in on a deal for Juventus midfielder Arthur as ‘something is moving’ at the Emirates.

That’s according to journalist Claudio Raimondi, who says Juventus are keen to move on the Brazilian this summer.

Arsenal are continuing their rebuild this summer, and Mikel Arteta seems to be particularly keen on reinforcing his midfield, an area they struggled with last season.

Fabio Vieira has already been signed from Porto, but he is not the only one to be linked with a  move to the Emirates.

Arthur is a player Arsenal are known to be fans of, having tried to sign him on loan in the January transfer window and they have maintained that interest since then.

A deal is there to be done as Juventus are keen to move him on as they raise funds for the return of Paul Pogba and other signings this summer.

At the moment, there is nothing in the pipeline, but Raimondi suggests that could be about to change.

“Juve are interested in Fabian Ruiz, but before starting a real negotiation, they must resolve the Ramsey-Arthur situations,” he told Sport Mediaset, relayed by Tutto Juve.

“For the Welshman, who is of interest to the Turkish team coached by Pirlo, they will move towards the termination of his contract with severance pay, while for the Brazilian midfielder, something is moving on the Arsenal side.”
