Tottenham captain Harry Kane could be negotiating with other clubs about a free transfer next summer, hence his initial refusal to finalise a move to Bayern Munich.
That’s the shocking new claim from BILD, who say the striker has received a ‘much better offer’ from elsewhere if he waits at Tottenham for another year.
The newspaper explains that after the long sought-after breakthrough in talks between Bayern and Tottenham was achieved earlier today, with a €100m+ offer accepted by the latter, there had been an assumption that the deal for Kane would be done quickly.
Those same reports claimed he would fulfil the final year of his deal with Spurs and then earn even more money as a free agent next summer.
BILD now back that up somewhat, stating that new rumours have emerge that there is a ‘new prospect’ for Kane which has appeared ‘at short notice’.
This new club have reportedly made Kane ‘a much better offer’ than the one Bayern have proposed, so long as he moves as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
Who this club is, isn’t mentioned but BILD speculate that Paris Saint-Germain, who have also been linked and need a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, could be one of them. They also state that Chelsea and Manchester United ‘cannot be ruled out either’.
It’s the latest development in the ongoing saga, which the newspaper states, ‘is getting crazier’ and presumably leaving Bayern even more perplexed.
