Sheffield United and Middlesbrough scouts were occupied during this month’s international break.

Croatia U21 overcame Denmark U21 in the second leg of the UEFA U21 Championship qualifiers play-off at the Vejle Stadium on Tuesday. The aggregate score was 3-3 and the two-legged tie was decided by penalties.

According to TV 2 Sport in Denmark, officials from 39 clubs were in attendance to watch the European tie and this includes scouts from Sheffield United and Middlesbrough.

The outlet details all the clubs who had sent their representatives to the stadium, but they don’t mention anything on the players that were monitored by these sides.

Sheffield United and Middlesbrough are the only ones from the Championship as the rest of the English clubs mentioned in the list are from the Premier League.

It may be worth keeping an eye on the Danish and Croatian press in the coming weeks, to see whether there will be any news on the players that were looked at by the Blades and Boro.
