According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor are the latest club to show interest in Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Steven Alzate.
The 25-year-old will become a free agent when his contract with Brighton expires at the end of this month and in recent weeks he’s also been linked with a move to Sheffield United.
Fotomac today report Trabzonspor are looking to convince Alzate over a move to the Super Lig. It’s claimed the Turkish side have made an offer to the midfielder, but they will face competition to sign him.
Again, Sheffield United are named as one of clubs interested in signing the player, along with sides from MLS.
The Blades will be looking to strengthen their squad this summer as they hope to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Only yesterday they were linked with a move for Besiktas attacking midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he desires a return to England.
Alzate joined Brighton in 2017, but made just 51 appearances during his time with the Premier League club. Last season the Colombia international was loaned out to Standard Liege.
