Championship side Sheffield United have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Fernando Macedo, according to a well known journalist from the country.

ESPN Brasil correspondent João Castelo-Branco is the one bringing the exclusive news, claiming the youngster signed his contract with the Blades on Monday.

According to the story, Fernandinho had been working on his career in England from ‘square zero’ since moving to London in 2019.

In Brazil, he had played at the academy of Red Bull Bragantino, where he was released and decided to go and try his luck elsewhere.

João Castelo-Branco claims that Fernandinho had a chance to show his skills at Sheffield United and ‘impressed’, being offered a contract at the club.

Called a ‘skilful winger’ there’s not a lot of information on the 17-year-old out there, so we may have to wait and see him in action for the Blades.

Since the journalist published what seems to be official pictures of his presentation, it shouldn’t take long until the Championship side make the move official.
