Turkish website Ajansspor claim Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has been drawing attention from Sheffield United and Ajax.

The 22 year old goalkeeper joined Fener from Ankaragucu at the start of the season, and his performances have caught the eye of European clubs, including the Blades.

Sheffield United could be looking to sign a new goalkeeper for next season if Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson returns to his parent club. Henderson has impressed in this campaign at Bramall Lane but he could look to complete with David de Gea for the No.1 spot at Old Trafford.

Despite Blades interest, Ajansspor say Fenerbahce haven’t yet received an offer for their goalkeeper, and are not planning to part ways with him this summer.

Bayindir has improved massively since the arrival of former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeping coach Marco Knoop, and Ajansspor report Fenerbahce would like to continue with the Turkish stopper.

This season he’s made 25 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for the Yellow Canaries, keeping five clean sheets.

His contract at the Ulker Sukru Saracoglu Stadium will expire at the end of June 2023.
