On Monday we covered claims from Italy that Manolo Gabbiadini would be staying at Napoli. That was because the Naples club had failed to agree on a deal with Fiorentina, which would have seen the Viola’s Nikola Kalinic going the other way.

However, the clubs couldn’t agree on what each player is worth, and yesterday we suggested strong Everton links and claims from last week may well have been to back up Napoli’s stance of a higher Gabbiadini value.

Not so, say Radio Kiss Kiss on Tuesday. Napoli’s official radio aprtner, as relayed by Tutto Napoli, say Everton have agreed a deal to sign Gabbiadini, and it will be made official as soon as Napoli have got themselves a replacement.

It remains to be seen if this is the real deal, or one last chance to make Fiorentina agree more with Napoli’s valuation of Gabbiadini.
