Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has asked for more new signings in the winter market. Thankfully for general cohesion, Celtic Park should welcome new faces within the next four days.

On Thursday, the Danish press reported O’Neill’s side could beat Brøndby IF to sign SK Brann’s Felix Horn Myhre. Another midfielder, BK Häcken’s Silas Andersen, is on Celtic’s agenda.

The Scottish Premiership club are looking to bring in a new attacker to Celtic Park before the window closes on Monday. Frosinone Calcio’s Farès Ghedjemis is included in their list.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Thursday that Celtic have made an offer to sign the winger. He didn’t mention the details of their proposal but said O’Neill’s side are negotiating with the Italian club.

Faced with the possibility of losing him, Di Marzio said Frosinone have identified Mantova’s Davide Bragantini as a potential replacement.

Tutto Frosinone, a website dedicating its coverage to the Serie B side, first looks at the reaction to Celtic’s late approach.

The latest claims of Celtic’s concrete interest in the 23-year-old has ‘shaken the mood’ of Frosinone’s supporters. There were also concerns over him missing tomorrow’s league tie against Virtus Entella.

According to the outlet, O’Neill’s side have indeed registered their concrete interest in the Frenchman but there’s no mention of an offer.

Tutto Frosinone explain the Italian club haven’t sat down to negotiate his exit late in the window. When the outlet asked for an update on Celtic, Frosinone ‘responded without considering selling the player during this transfer window.’

The report further adds Frosinone manager Massimiliano Alvini will have Ghedjemis in his squad for Saturday’s clash. Therefore, fans ‘can rest easy for now’.

The local source is sending a calming message to fans, and they’ll hope that isn’t misplaced.

The outlet state: ‘…faced with certain offers, anyone can be sceptical’. In other words, Celtic need to submit a tempting proposal.
