Sevilla have been warned that they will face a ‘very strong’ West Ham team with ‘passionate’ fans when they travel to the London Stadium this evening.
The Spanish side travel to London for the second-leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash with the Hammers, holding a 1-0 advantage from the first-leg.
The tie is arguably one of the biggest of this round, pitting Sevilla, who are currently second in La Liga, against West Ham, who are chasing Champions League football in the Premier League.
David Moyes’ side have been superb this season, to say the least, with the Scottish boss again using a small squad to compete at the top end of the table and in Europe.
They’ve been particularly impressive at home, with Moyes having turned the London Stadium, which was once something of a problem for the club, into a fortress.
“West Ham at home is a very strong team,” he told ABC Sevilla.
“Also, the fans there always support their team and are passionate. But Sevilla also have some very experienced players in their squad who are used to playing in big games.
“What Sevilla will find tomorrow will be no surprise. Their players have been in a lot of stadiums also with passionate fans. It’s true that West Ham have very good fans who always support their team.”
