Sevilla’s win over Manchester United in the Europa League semifinals is still doing the rounds in the Spanish media.
Many outlets report today a message from Lucas Ocampos towards Red Devils captain Harry Maguire on social media.
It started with the Englishman’s quotes after the game on Sunday. The 27-year-old claimed that ‘the best team lost’, as Sevilla ‘didn’t create many chances’.
The Spanish version of ESPN made a post with his statement on Instagram, and Lucas Ocampos wrote a comment saying ‘A mimirrr 😂’.
‘A mimir’ is a Spanish meme which refers to a baby-talk mispronunciation of ‘sleeping’. It’s often used with pets laying in beds, ready to sleep.Ocampos was probably showing he’s resting calmly while Harry Maguire is still fuming after Europa League elimination, and didn’t mind making his banter public.
Sevilla are now playing Inter Milan for the Europa League title on Friday. Now Harry Maguire should decide if he’d rather see a win from the ‘worst team’, or from his former Manchester United teammates Ashley Young, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
