The Seville press are looking for everything Leicester City related, after drawing Claudio Ranieri’s men in the Champions League. There’s an awful lot of good feeling toward Leicester around the football world, so there’s bound to be plenty of gushing stuff between now and when Sevilla face the Foxes.

However, not everyone at Sevilla has positive thoughts when they think of Leicester City. Back-up goalkeeper David Soria, 23 years of age, had a very brief and little known spell at the Premier League club.

Having left the Real Madrid youth system, without the offer of a contract, Soria arrived at Leicester, hoping to impress and win a deal. On his first day, the youngster picked up a knee injury and had to return to Spain.

Later trials with Birmingham City and Stoke came to nothing, and Soria even considered quitting the game before being signed up by Sevilla in 2013.

Seville newspaper Estadio Deportivo say Soria’s spell at Leicester City was a ‘nightmare’. Not first choice right now, the goalkeeper played in Sevilla’s last victorious Europa League final, so he’s probably glad he didn’t give it all up.
