Yesterday we covered reports from Holland that Sampdoria and Pescara had joined the race to sign ADO Den Haag defender Tom Beugelsdijk, following claims last week Leeds United were interested in the 26-year-old.
Voetbal Zone have revealed, via claims from regional media outlets, that representatives from other clubs were sent to get a lowdown on Beugelsdijk at the weekend. It’s been claimed several clubs were in attendance to watch the game between Ado Den Haag and Heracles Almelo on Sunday, although its’s not been reported who those clubs were.
Beugelsdijk is likely to have impressed officials who were sent to the game as he was named the Man of the Match in his side’s 1-1 draw.
Leeds United have been linked with Beugelsdijk in the past week following reports they too have been sending scouts to the Netherlands to watch the player. Garry Monk has been impressed with Beugelsdijk, but it will be difficult to get a deal done before the transfer deadline on Wednesday
