As Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric has stayed on the bench in all Premier League games this season, we today get to see some news on the possibilities for his future.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg writes on Twitter that even though the player is ‘focused’ on the Clarets, he wants to play more regularly.
And it turns out that he could have some opportunities away from Burnley, as there are ‘ideas’ about a loan with an option to buy in the January transfer window.
Plettenberg claims there are ‘several’ clubs who rate Muric ‘very highly’. Among them, there are the likes of Union Berlin and Sevilla.
With his contract with the Clarets expiring only in 2026, he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €9m, and could leave for a reasonable price.
Muric has made two appearances for Burnley this season, and both of them were in the EFL Cup. Despite being their main starter in the Championship last season, that changed with the arrival of James Trafford, who was signed from Manchester City in a €17.3m deal during the last window.
