A month ago, TNT Sports explained Universidad de Chile’s Darío Osorio has received an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The English club have not forgotten about the 18-year-old if a report from En Cancha is to be believed.
Wolves are ‘serious’ about the midfielder and are ‘coming’ to sign ‘one of the main figures’ of the Chilean club.
Matthew Hobbs is an English intermediary tasked to monitor and recruit players for Bruno Lage’s side.
It’s claimed Hobbs is already in Chile to ‘negotiate directly’ with the South American club and also find out the position of the teenager over a potential move to Wolves.
Universidad de Chile’s requests have been the main obstacle as the Premier League side consider their price to be high. The former also want a percentage from a potential future sale of Osorio.
Another important factor to be considered is when Osorio will reach Europe, immediately, in January or sometime in the future. It is for this reason Wolves sent their intermediary to Chile, to learn first-hand about the situation and have better clarity.
Wolves ‘come with everything’ to sign the player, and Hobbs, who is their ‘strong man’, is already in Chile to hold talks with both Universidad de Chile and the player. It needs to be seen whether the intermediary’s trip will result in a successful outcome for Lage’s side.
