Aston Villa, Robin Olsen is yet to play even once this season. Last season, he got five Premier League games and unless there’s an injury problems, things aren’t going to change for him.

Now 34-years-of-age, it seems as if Olsen could be about to leave Aston Villa to head back to Sweden.

Expressen have reported on Malmo’s interest in the veteran goalkeeper, with the Swedish club now making a ‘serious attempt’ to land the former Everton and Sheffield United man.

The information comes from the outlet’s sources in England, who confirm that initial talks have been held between the two clubs. Aston Villa are interested in letting the player leave and are keeping the door open for a January exit.

It is stated that Malmo and Villa are trying to find the right agreement for a winter move. Nothing is decided yet but the likelihood is that different terms will be discussed until January arrives.

Malmo are hoping to land him but there is a chance that other clubs could join the chase for the experienced goalkeeper, who has previously had a stint at AS Roma as well.
