Ramón Sosa arrived at Nottingham Forest from Talleres de Córdoba last summer, after he forced the transfer.

The winger hasn’t cemented a place under Nuno Espírito Santo and has made one start in the Premier League so far. He’s made two more starts in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup to take his overall tally to two goals and an assist from 15 games for Nottingham Forest.

On Friday, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Vasco da Gama made an attempt to sign the 25-year-old in the winter market. It was also said his agent negotiated with the Brazilian club for weeks.

O Dia back up Vasco da Gama’s interest in the Nottingham Forest player and provide more on the story.

They state the South American club carried out secret negotiations to sign the Paraguay international, but he turned them down.

Along with Vasco da Gama, the report states Argentine side Boca Juniors and Mexico’s Cruz Azul also made offers for the attacker. Again, Sosa rejected their approaches as he has no plans to return to South American or move to Mexico at this point in time.

Sosa’s contract at Nottingham Forest lasts until 2029.
