West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca’s first season in England didn’t go to plan, and there is now talk of him returning to Italy this summer.
AS Roma in Serie A have been the most interested to date, as they look to find an agreement with the Hammers that could help them out short-term.
However, Milan News explain that another side, AC Milan, are also keen, but facing the same troubles as their Rome counterparts in convincing West Ham.
While Scamacca ‘would like to relaunch himself in Serie A’, where he made a name for himself at Sassuolo, his current club are proving stubborn.
After all, West Ham spent €36m on the striker last summer, and do not want to let him go out on loan, making it clear they will either sell him ‘outright’ or there is no deal to be made.
Milan, down their end, are ‘oriented towards a loan’ that could then be decided with a ‘right or obligation to buy’.
They ‘appreciate’ the West Ham forward ‘a lot’, but just cannot get the Londoners to change their mind for the time being.
