Just before the 2021 summer transfer window closed on Tuesday, Chelsea were successful in reaching an agreement with Atlético Madrid for Saúl Ñíguez.

The Blues made the announcement after the window closed, where it was confirmed the midfielder will join the west London club on a loan deal with an option to make the transfer permanent after this season.

Considering the two clubs managed to agree on the deal late on the deadline day, it seemed logical the 26-year-old wasn’t in London to complete the procedures related to the operation.

The Spain international is in his homeland and El Chiringuito TV have taken to Twitter to post a video believed to be that of the new player of the Champions League winners.

They claim the Atlético Madrid owned midfielder is ‘heading to London’, presumably to sort out the final details before being official unveiled as the latest addition to Thomas Tuchel’s squad this season.

That’s about the only information provided by El Chiringuito TV.
