Saudi Arabian side Al-Taee are ‘showing interest’ in Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis ahead of the country’s transfer deadline tomorrow.
That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who says there is an ‘evolving situation’ around the forward to keep an eye on.
Dennis has been with Nottingham Forest since a €14.8m move from Watford last summer but has endured something of a disappointing year, starting just six games in the Premier League last year.
He does not appear to be part of the club’s plans moving forwards as he has not appeared in a match day squad this season and been pushed down the pecking order by arrivals such as Anthony Elanga.
A move away from Nottingham Forest has been mooted throughout the summer but with nothing happening before the European deadline last week.
Saudi Arabia’s transfer window remains open until tomorrow, though, and Galetti states that Al-Taee are now ‘showing interest’ in a possible move.
They are not one of the country’s clubs to have been spending wildly this summer, indeed, they’ve spent just €1.32m on winger Andrei Cordea, with the rest of their arrivals free transfers.
How much they could spend on a deal for Dennis, then, remains to be seen and Galetti doesn’t offer any detail on that front at this moment in time.
He does state that Dennis is tied to a deal with Nottingham Forest until 2026.
The interest is reportedly there, and his name could be something to keep an eye on over the next 24 hours.
