Earlier today, we covered claims which stated Real Sociedad are pushing forward to sign Nayef Aguerd from West Ham United, with the Spanish club being the latest in a very long line of sides to show up with interest.
At that point it was mentioned there was also interest in the defender coming from the Middle East, and now it appears that has got rather more serious.
Santi Aouna, who brought the earlier claims relating to La Real, reports Al-Ittihad have sent a bid to the Hammers. That’s an official offer, although, again, there’s no indication regarding the transfer fee offered or required.
Should he fancy a move to Saudi, the defender won’t have to rush to secure one. Whereas the majority of many European summer windows close on Friday evening, the Saudi window will be open all the way until October 6th.
Aguerd therefore needs to decide if he wants to remain in European football, in which case he needs to hurry. If not, there’s no panic with regards to time.
