This week, multiple reports stated Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez could soon be on his way back to Mexico.

It was claimed that the centre-forward’s former side Club America were keen on signing him this summer, and would try to convince Wolves to let him make his return there.

It now turns out that as Mexican outlet Medio Tiempo comes up with a story on this situation, they claim Jimenez isn’t expected to sign for America anytime soon.

The website writes that the striker is ‘not considered’ by his former club, therefore the rumours ‘are not real’ as ‘he’s not in the plans’ they have.

Medio Tiempo even recalls that America chiefs had been claiming there’s open doors for him at the club. However, they also highlight that he’s having a very disappointing time in England, and that should be the reason why they’re not interested in having him now.

Jimenez has 18 appearances for Wolves this season, and the three goals he scored were in the EFL Cup. His contract with the club runs until 2024, but it would be no surprise to see him leave Molineux this summer.
