Despite Barcelona’s unbelievable transfer window, it’s no secret they continue to plan the signing of a left-back. And one of the players they have on the table is said to be Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilon.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs this summer, with several stories claiming he’s being offered around to Italian and Spanish clubs.

This week, while speaking of Barcelona’s chances of signing the player, a possibility was mentioned in the Catalan media, who claimed they could send Memphis Depay to Tottenham in a swap for the fullback.

The rumour made some noise in England, and as it returns to Spain, AS turn up to dismiss those chances. AS claim Dutch player is ‘ruled out’ by Spurs’ board.

The newspaper writes that Tottenham first set a price of €25m for Reguilon’s exit, but as time passes, the request is going down. Barcelona, who had a meeting with the player’s agent in Miami on the 19th of July, reportedly spoke about a purchase, a straight loan and a loan with an option to buy.

Still, AS don’t make it clear how much the La Liga giants can pay for the move, as the club won’t stop surprising us when spending on new additions this summer.
