Rúben Amorim flew into England on Monday to start his new life as Manchester United head coach. He arrived with his coaching team via private jet and went straight to Carrington to have a tour of the club’s facilities and to meet those he’ll now be working with on a daily basis.
The story is still huge in the Portuguese media, and multiple newspapers have sent journalists to the Manchester area to follow what is happening with Amorim.
O Jogo now report the Manchester United coach is set to visit Old Trafford on Tuesday. That’s for two reasons, firstly to take part in several photoshoots, and secondly to speak to various aspects of the club’s media.
The Portuguese press know they won’t get a chance to speak to him this time.
O Jogo believe there’s an ongoing attempt from Manchester United to build secrecy around the situation, but it’s perhaps more a matter of a stricter environment around the club generally.
Amorim is still said to be waiting for his work permit, and it’s believed that will take at least 24-48 hours.
