Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson has been linked with an exit from the club for many weeks now.
He remains a Seagulls’ player but he is currently injured, having failed to play even once in the last six Premier League games due to an ankle problem.
It now seems as if Ferguson could be readying himself for a late January departure from Brighton.
Footmercato report that the situation around the striker is heating up.
The idea of Marseille signing the 20-year-old is gaining ground. The report believes that the possibility has been growing over the last few days and Roberto De Zerbi, who managed Ferguson at Brighton, is going to be key to the move.
The Italian’s presence at Marseille could convince Ferguson on the transfer to the French club, but they are not the only ones in the race.
Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham are also interested, yet De Zerbi’s side could soon make a concrete offer for the Brighton player.
Having said that, Marseille are also keeping tabs on other profiles as well but interest in Ferguson is presented as growing.
