Last week, we relayed news from the Italy that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson and are trying to get ahead of Inter Milan in the transfer race.
The attacking midfielder has 13 goals and four assists this season and it’s no surprise that Spurs, Inter and a few other clubs are chasing him.
InterLive.it provide the latest on the competition between Tottenham and the Serie A side for the 26-year-old.
In April 2023, Fabio Paratici stepped down from his position at Spurs, after losing an appeal against his worldwide ban imposed by FIFA. Despite this, the Italian media insist he’s still influential at the north London club.
Paratici is keen on the Iceland international and could be ready to make a move on behalf of Tottenham. Inter, on the other hand, can only sign him on loan with an obligation to buy set at €30m.
It’s said the north London club, via Paratici, could ‘raise the offer’ to €40m, and this would be a concern for the Serie A side. Gudmundsson is valued at around €30-35m and Spurs can offer €30m plus the rest in bonuses to take it to €40m.
The former Juventus director seems ‘intent on continuing to move in the shadows’ after his ban. It’s stated Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been pleased with his choices and hasn’t completely pushed him away.
