Tottenham Hotspur could be an option for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial in the summer.
The 28-year-old’s deal lasts until June and has an option for another year. Recent claims in the UK have stated the Red Devils aren’t willing to activate this option and will allow him leave as a free agent.
Tuttosport state the Manchester United forward’s entourage isn’t willing to sign a new deal and is looking for a new club.
Tottenham are among the clubs in the picture to sign the Frenchman and they mention this when discussing Juventus’ interest.
Juve were keen on signing Lazio’s Felipe Anderson, but he has agreed to join Palmeiras on a free transfer. This has seen them look at other options and the Manchester United player is their first alternative.
Martial can operate on the left wing or as a striker, and is looking for a new team. Tuttosport state there’s been contact between his camp and the Old Lady, but his €6m per year salary request is an issue for the latter.
In addition to this, the Turin club will also have to face competition from elsewhere and only Tottenham are named as an interested party.
Juventus, for now, are resisting and thinking about the ‘cost and benefit’ of signing Martial. This may not be the case for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who could have an easy route to take the Manchester United man on a free transfer.
