AFC Bournemouth are in the process of completing the transfer of Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur for £55m plus £10m bonuses.
Solanke’s impending sale to Tottenham will leave a void at Bournemouth and they plan to replace him with AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Bournemouth’s interest in Abraham could be a concern for AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have added Álvaro Morata to their squad this summer and are still looking to further bolster their attack by signing the Englishman.
Milan will start negotiations with their Serie A rivals, after initial contact to find out the conditions needed to carry out the deal. They want to sign him on loan with a buying option, while Roma would like to include an obligation to buy if the set conditions are met.
The two clubs are also open to the idea of Milan including one of their own players as part of the deal.
Paulo Fonseca’s side will face ‘main danger’ from England, where Bournemouth director Tiago Pinto ‘threatens’ them in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
Roma would prefer to sell the striker to a Premier League side for €30m. Bournemouth could be able to afford it as they will have funds from Solanke’s sale to Tottenham.
As well as the Cherries, Everton and Leicester City are also in the picture for Abraham. He wants to join Milan, and therefore, the English clubs have to convince the former Chelsea man to secure his services.
