While Manchester City have been very successful since their takeover back in 2008, they have made a number of mistakes on the transfer market.
Among those can be found Stevan Jovetic, who cost the Premier League club €26m when they signed him from Fiorentina in 2013.
The Montenegro international made 44 appearances for Manchester City during his three and a half years at the club, when they managed to recoup €13.5m from their original expenditure thanks to Inter Milan being willing to pay for him.
He only scored 11 goals during his time in England, and many see him as one of the more expensive flops to have donned the light blue shirt since money started flowing freely east of Manchester city centre.
He said: “Yes, it was the right choice. City are a great team.”
They asked because Juventus were also interested at the time, with many believing that might have been the better choice for the then-Fiorentina star.
Over the course of his career, the forward has played for the aforementioned Florence team, as well as Monaco, FK Partizan Belgrade, Manchester City, Hertha, Inter Milan and Sevilla.
