When Tottenham were initially linked with a move for Radu Dragusin, the club’s fans probably didn’t know how much drama the player’s agent would bring.
Initially, it was all positive, with the defender’s representatives talking up the Spurs option and insisting money wasn’t the reason he chose Tottenham over Bayern Munich.
However, just a few short months in things had changed. Dragusin wasn’t a regular, which is no surprise as he wasn’t expected to be, and the agent started talking to the Italian media about a potential exit.
One of the slants was that if Antonio Conte took over as manager of Napoli then a move there could be welcome. Well, that’s exactly what happened and now there’s rumours about the Serie A club being keen.
Tuttosport report Napoli would be considering taking the player from Tottenham on a loan basis. That seems a ridiculous idea for Spurs to consider so soon after signing Dragusin in the first place.
It may work for Dragusin’s camp, and indeed Napoli, but for Spurs it would make the whole move look poor in the first place.
