Fotospor have reported Galatasaray are still hoping to sign Stoke City midfielder Gianelli Imbula in the summer.

The Turkish website say Galatasaray want to sign Imbula on loan, but Stoke City initially want a permanent deal. However, due to a lack of decent offers coming in for Imbula, Stoke City have changed their stance.

FotoSpor claim the Premier League side are now considering sending Imbula out on loan next season as clubs aren’t prepared to meet their valuation for the player. This follows Roma’s €6m offer for the midfielder, which was instantly turned down by Stoke City.

Imbula is also wanted by Bordeaux, but Fotospor believe Galatasaray are now leading the race because they can offer him European football, unlike the French club.

The 23-year old French midfielder is expected to leave the Bet365 Stadium in the summer and Galatasaray will be hoping they can take advantage of his situation in England. However, given it’s not even June, Stoke would be given up on a permanent transfer pretty early.
