Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed Leeds United have signed AS Roma youngster Dario Vittorio Meadows. The Championship side have been busy in the transfer market this summer, and had already brought in ten new players before the young midfielder.
Di Marzio has confirmed Meadows has signed for Leeds United on a loan for the rest of the season despite recently committing himself to Roma with a new contract. The 17-year-old has yet to play for the Roma senior side, and has been playing for the Serie A’s side U17 team.
Leeds United also have a right of redemption on the attacking midfielder, and subsequently can make the move permanent if he impresses during his time at the club
The youngster was born in England, and therefore has British and Italian duel nationality. Meadows has already played for the Italian U16 national team, but is also being watched by England who are considering him for their U18 set up.
